F.L.Y. Friday welcomes FVSU Students
Read More
Fort Valley Loves You-nity Friday is the brain child of the FVSU Student Government Association. According to current SGA president Dominique Nichols, the organization under the advisement of the Office of Student Affairs wanted to plan an event in conjunction with the City that would exemplify FVSU President Larry Rivers' philosphy of "Communiversity."
So, at 6:00pm on Friday evening, August 19th, Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic and it is anticipated that at least 1,000 FVSU students will be embraced by the business and community as they come back to school, some experiencing Fort Valley for the first time as Freshmen.
There will be continous entertainment on center stage including a dj, live band, local FVSU talent, line dancing, stepping, pyrotech show and more. Fort Valley Department of Public Safety will be providing food for the students and there will be other food vendors.
The entire community is invited.
